  • Traffic Jams

    Do traffic Jams bug you?

I've observed that if every driver paid attention to what they were doing we could alleviate the growing menace of traffic jams. Maybe I'm the only one who sees it that way. What are your thoughts?

One sees the big sign saying the lane ends a few miles ahead but they insist on driving until they are out of lane and then want to cut in and inconvenience everyone? If everybody switched lanes on time then we wouldn't have everyone inconvenienced because of a few people who feel they are in more of a hurry than anyone else. What are your thoughts?

Lately it looks like the traffic jams are starting much earlier and lasting much longer. So many man hours are being wasted on the road and yet we are in the 21st century. That shouldn't be the case even though there are so many cars out on the road. I believe if we all drove courteously and used common sense which sometimes isn't so common then maybe we would all have a smoother ride. Part of the problem is caused by people on their cellphones who aren't able to multitask and they get so caught up in their phone conversations and forget to do what they should be doing in the first place which is drive and so everyone behind them has to start stepping on their brakes resulting in a jam. What are your thoughts?
